Discover How Community Service Can Give Your Business A FREE Boost

By Bob Brolhorst

Give Your Business A FREE Boost

While you may be apprehensive to take valuable time away from your business to
get involved as volunteer for your community it pays to seek out some way
you can give back to the businesses and community in which you live.

There may not be any monetary compenstation, but you will be rewarded for
your time in ways you would have never dreamt about. This could come from
vital contacts made while becoming involved in community service. It could mean
exposure for you and your business. It never hurts to be seen and getting your
name out there.

You will also reap the benefits of sharing information with others who view you
as an expert in your field. You may gain personal satisfaction in knowing that
you are helping those in need.

After working in the corporate world for 26 years, one of the first goals I
established for myself was to get more involved in community activity. I
accomplished this by first getting involved with my childrens sports. I have
coached boys and girls soccer and basketball and also been a midget football
coach for the past 15 years. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that
I have met. These activities have lead to a great number of contacts, many of
who I now know personally and also on a professional level and believe it or not
my business now includes kids that I coached when I was younger.

Remember to seek out ways to share your good fortune with others in the
community by giving back what you have gained. This will be so much more
rewarding than any money that you may recieve. If you help others all of the
other things will atomatically fall into place.
